Many people who tell lies on a regular basis denied they tell lies and in some cases they even believe it.
They've been telling lies so long that they cannot differentiate between the truth and a lie and they believe that the statements that they made are not lies.
This is very strange because they know that what they are saying does not reflect reality, they know they are saying something wrong. When confronted they will admit that what they said is wrong. Yet, they do not accept the fact that they are telling lies.
In other words, after telling a lie for so long to others, they are prepared to tell a lie to themselves. They lie to themselves and they try to convince themselves that the lie is the truth.
This mixed up sense of reality confuses them and causes them to misunderstand many other things in the real world as well in some cases.
Thus, denying the truth or tellig a lie is not just an issue between the person and others but it's also an issue between the person and himself or herself.
And once a person denies that he is telling lies, it is very difficult to correct their problem.
