Most of the important things Several series in this website describe ways of making decisions. One group of articles encourages the reader to just keep going, whereas a different series encourages the reader to determine what he can do and not to push in an area in which he cannot do something.
Those two options seem to be contradictory. Should you push to accomplish things or should you give up when you cannot accomplish them?
This should be the focus of your reading. Both concepts are correct, and a person should indeed realize what he can and cannot do. He should focus on the things that he can do and not waste his time on those that he cannot do.
Our lifetime is limited. Those who know what they want to achieve in life can determine what he can do. A person's list of planned achievements are, in turn, based upon the goals LINK that he has set for his life.
A person who has set goals, and who knows what he plans to achieve, will be able to determine what he can do. He may require the assistance of a consultant or a confidant, but he can reach the right conclusions. He will not be swayed by well-wishers who will try to convince him to move in one direction or the other. Although those well-wishers may present contradictions, he does not face inner debates.
Every person is different. Every person can accomplish a different set of goals. He must realize his limitations and his capabilities in order to achive the most from his life. He can do that by prioritizing his goals - and then sticking to his list.
