Some people's hate knows no bounds. They are not satisfied with exhibiting their hate themselves. They also find a need to attract and involve others in their hate in order to make it even greater or stronger.
This third party involvement is particularly cruel because it frequently involves violations of regulations of lashon harah. It puts the target of the hatred on stage having to defend himself against the accusations. This defense goes beyond the individual defense, defending himself, but he also gets the party exhibiting the hatred but it also means that he has to defend himself against additional people who are brought in. He might feel that he has to say things in his defense that he would ordinarily not want to say to others. The third or third parties become middlemen in the arguments and become actively involved in the process of hatred itself.
