When you come to a fork in the road, Obviously, not everybody should give advice. Some people have a private agenda, and their advice is of no value.
We, as counselors, must recognize and handle the problem in a calm, rational manner. Our guidance must me suitable for their real needs. We need to differentiate between good advice and off the cuff suggestions that are profferred by well-meaning - or less well-meaning - friends or acquaintances.
