ויקם מלך חדש Congratulations! You've just been elected or appointed to a new position of importance and authority. Now, you will have to lead those meetings yourself. What is the best way to establish yourself in your new role?
Your first meeting may be the most important of all. You will make your first impression at time.
Determine your leadership style from the outset. No matter which leadership style you choose, you should delegate authority at this stage.
Your printed agenda should begin with a thanks to the outgoing leader or chairman. Spend a few minutes explaining some of his positive accomplishments, and how you intend to continue in his or her path. Some participants will be happy to know that there will not be a major shakeup.
That agenda should have your name and new title printed at the top, in order to state your new authority.
You should make some (cosmetic) changes from the outset, in order to show the differences in leadership style.
Share problems. Ask for input from others, "How should we deal with this problem or situation."
