Sensitivities seem to grow as the buttons are pushed on a repeated basis or on a more frequent basis.
Thus something which would disturb or bother a sensitive person on one day bothers them more if it is at the end of a series of times in which the person is affected or if the previous times that the person was affected came in rapid fire order or close on the heels of the other.
Actually the person's sensitivity itself probably does not change but his reaction to the increased attacks on his sensitivity causes him to become more annoyed and this annoyance seems to increase the sensitivitity to raise it to a higher degree.
