Most issues have two sides. This includes psychological debates.
This concept may seem to be very simple and obvious, yet all too often psychologists deal with only one side of an issue. As a result, they cannot always get to the real root of issue and cannot solve certain problems. Although they may help their clients feel good after getting the support of the psychologist or the counselor, the long term effect is negligible and may be the reverse of what should be expected.
This is also an important issue in discussions and in counseling.
