Time is the fourth dimension.
The first three dimensions are quite straightforward. You can believe and measure concepts of height, width, and depth. You can trust the ruler. You can even rely on a different ruler.
We do accept the limits to the first three dimensions, but the fourth dimension is different. It has some wrinkles. People accept or acknowledge only the three dimensions that they can observe. As a result, we waste time, as if had no limits.
Some of us even deny the existence of time. That is why we lie about it all the time, without being accused of falsifying the facts.
Strange.
We deny (to ourselves) that time exists, but we depend on it. Our lies to others are considered to be acceptable.
Perhaps we should not accuse people of lying. Maybe time is not real. The fourth dimension might just be the first dementia.
