The best way to deal with tsumi, is not to avoid it.
Thus, most people will offer you sympathy if you tell them that you have a problem with your computer or with a twisted ankle. People will say "Awww, that's too bad. I hope you feel better soon," if you make a show of hobbling on your twisted ankle. Perhaps you enjoy that sympathy, and it may even be a conversation piece, but it is not a mature way of dealing with the situation.
YOu may feel that your computer problem is a good excuse for not getting your work done on time. However, a more mature approach would be to find methods to get the work done anyhow.
The best solution would be to find ways to deal with it so that nobody knows about your problems.
How can you tell whether you are handling it in a mature way?
Don't expect the answer to be that the computer is fixed, and that now it works well. It still have a problem.
If nobody else knows about the problems with your computer, then you are handling the situation in the proper way.
Don't expect the answer to be that the twisted foot does not hurt. It might give you a great deal of grief.
The problem is under control when you are the only one who knows about it. This happens when you can walk normally, without hobbling, so that nobody else sees that it hurts.
When nobody else knows about your problems, then you have outgrown your babyish and immature need for tsumi. That's the proper and well-adjusted way to run a life life.
Of course, there are times that it is proper to share your problems with a confidant or an expert. Handling problems in a positive way is not the same as trying to use your affliction or problem in order to gain tsumi.
