ANGELS OF GOD

Then I said, "My lord, what are these? "And the angel who was speaking with me said to me, "I will show you what these are." And the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered and said, "These are those whom the LORD has sent to patrol the earth." So they answered the angel of the LORD who was standing among the myrtle trees, and said, "We have patrolled the earth, and behold, all the earth is peaceful and quiet."
Zechariah, 1: 9-11

Angels have been around since before the creation of man. They were part of GOD'S kingdom. I believe GOD created Guardian Angels to watch over the people he put here on this earth, and they became part of GOD'S kingdom.

ANGELS IN THE BIBLE

They are mentioned 187 times in the Bible. In the Old Testament you can find them mention 94 times and the the New Testament 93 times. So we know that they existed than as they do now!! The first place I found a mention of angels was of the Cherubim angel in Genesis, 3:24-25
"So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the Cherubim, and the flaming sword which turned every direction, to guard the way to the tree of life."
We can assumed that the angels must number in the millions upon millions maybe even in the billions, from the fact that ever human being on earth has a Guardian Angel. Many scholars believe that the Guardian Angels are of the lowest form of the choir, that of just angels.

GUARDIAN ANGELS

Over the years I have often felt their present with me. When I was a child I always talk to my Guardian Angel when I was scared or trouble. As a parent, when my teenager children would leave to go out I would ask their angels to watch over them. As soon as they would close the door I would start talking to their Angels. I always believed I had to speak out loud so the angels could hear me. I don't guess my girls could hear me or they would have soon let me know they thought I was crazy. I am now talking to my grandchildren's Angels, and I have 10 angels to talk to.(lots of talking)
I don't think people would think that odd today, all at once they believe in Angels, just like they just came into existence.

THE ARCHANGELS

Chief Angels, they are different from Guardian Angels as they are messengers from God in significant matters.
The Archangel, Saint Michael, the defended of all that is good, he fights a battle against evil at all times and rescues the souls from the power of evil especially at the hour of our death. He can be most helpful to us today with our spiritual battle to overcome evil things of this world. Mankind has never needed Saint Michael as much as we need him today. Saint Michael is said to be the leader of the Archangels.
Saint Gabriel is the archangel, who appeared to the prophet Daniel, to the Priest Zachary to announce the forthcoming birth of Saint John the Baptist, and to the Blessed Virgin Mary to announce the birth of OUR SAVIOR, JESUS. Saint Gabriel is only mentioned twice in the New Testament, but it is reasonable to think that it is Saint Gabriel that appeared to St. Joseph and again to the shepherds on the night Jesus was born. Saint Gabriel is the Angel of Annunciation.
Saint Raphael is the archangel which appears in human form to Tobias and travels with him.(Tobias, 5:11) It was quiet a journey in which the angel is shown as protecting Tobias in the desert and makes himself know as one on the seven, who stand before GOD.
Saint Raphael is said to represented Jesus' priesthood.
Of the seven only three are mentioned in the canonical Scriptures, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. According to the Book of Enoch the others are Uriel(Mt, 28:3), Jophiel(Gn, 3:24), Chamael, Zadkiel, and Jophkiel.

THE NINE CHOIRS OF ANGELS

In the old testament and in the book of Revelation from the writings of Saint Paul we accepted the fact that there are nine choirs of angels. They are first, the Angels, Archangels and Principalities: Powers, Virtues and Dominations: Thrones, Cherubim and Seraphim. On the choir of Seraphim see "Revelation, 4:8" or Isaiah, 6:2".
