Any Good Books on Dogmas?

Hi Father,

I wanted your imput on the Book Fundamentals of Catholic Dogmas by Ludwig Ott. I want to know if this book is considered to be very sound teachings of the Church. I read it quite often and learn a lot. But Just want to be sure what enters to my mind. The book is laid out nicely and in order. If u have any other suggestion of Good Books on the Dogmas, please let me know. By the way I enjoy your web site.

Dear Roger,

Thanks for the e-mail. I do not know the book or author you refer to--I am sure more a reflection on my own limited reading. I like Peter Kreeft, Benedict Groeschel and of course G.K. Chesterton & C.S. Lewis (not a Catholic but beautifully elucidades the core of Christianity). Have you tried just reading the Catechism from cover to cover? I've done it twice now and found it most helpful. I posted some book reviews on my website which might be helpful.

God bless,

Fr. Phil Bloom
