Hello again. This part of our homepage will be a "Reader's Digest" version of my testimony.
Well, I finished High School and enlisted in the Air Force. Viet Nam was going hot and heavy now and I was scared I would go there. God had other ideas and a sense of humor too. I was sent to Alaska to a remote radar sight on the Bering Sea.
I got away from God while there. No church to go to. Just a circuit riding Chaplain once in awhile.
Carol and were wed in June of 1970. We moved at the Air Forces expence to North Carolina. Little did I know what God had in store for me.
I was born in Staten Island,New York in 1948. I am the first born of four sons. Now, I am the last of them.
My parents divorced when I was very young and I moved with my mother to Indiana where I started school. A short time later we moved to the Chicago area. My mom would send me to a church in the area where I got my first taste of Christianity.
This church was so boring. I remember thinking," There had to be more than this to being a Christian." We later moved to another suburb of Chicago. One of our new neighbors invited us to church. I had to admit, this one had some life in it.
I enjoyed going now. I still believe this is where I gave my life to Jesus.
I kept my sanity and made it out of that place a different person.
