While resting in my chair one night,
My eyes beheld a scary site.
A huge black beetle flew by my ear,
And under the TV it disappeared.
Up from the chair and on the run,
The search for the fly swatter had begun.
A human giant stalked its prey,
Scared to death I might say!
To think I should be so afraid,
Of such a creature I felt ashamed.
But then it buzzed right by again,
In no time my senses I did regain.
Swinging here and swinging there,
Missing that bug just by a hair.
Shivers ran up and down my spine,
When it disappeared I felt just fine.
Then it finally came into site,
I swatted that thing with all my might.
Scooping it up on the end of the swatter,
My body gave a great big shudder.
Into the bathroom I did rush,
And said goodbye with a mighty flush!
