As an American & U.S.Army Vet, I have unfathomable respect and admiration for Our Country and Our Peace Keepers! This is my tribute to both.

This song was adapted from a poem by my Father, LeRoy Anderson,in the 50's. In 1975 he and his band went to Nashville and recorded it. My Father died in 1976 from cancer and the song was never published. So this is also a tribute to him from me. I hope he has found the peace he was never able to find in life.

America For Me

Tis fine to see the old world
an travel up and down.
Amoung the famous palaces,
and cities of reknown.
To admire the Kremlims castles,
and statues of the Kings.
But now I think I've had enough
of these antiquated things.

So It's home again and home again,
America for me.
I want a ship that's Westward bound,
to plow up the sea.
To the Blessed land of room enough,
beyond the ocean bar.
Where the air is full of sunshine,
and the Flag is full of Stars.

I think that Europe is wonderful,
yet something seems to lack.
Her past is to much with her,
and her people looking back.
For the glory of the present,
is to make the future free.
We love our land for what she is,
and what she is to be.

So it's home again and home again,
America for me.
I want a ship thats Westward bound,
to plow up the sea.
To the Blessed land of room enough,
beyond the ocean bar.
Where the air is full of sunshine,
and the Flag is full of stars!
