How to make it to heaven?

Be Born Again !

Jesus said in John 3:3-6 unless a man is born again he cannot see or enter the kingdom of God.

A man is spiritually dead because of sin (Gen. 2:17, 3:1-24; Rom. 6:23). He is separated from God thus being spiritually dead. That is why before we are born again we cannot understand the Bible, because it is spiritually discerned (1 Corth. 2:14; John 6:63, John 16:13). Our spirit is dead because of sin and we are unable to enter into God's presence, have fellowship with Him or understand His Word. There is nothing that we can do on our own to erase those sins. Only the Blood of Jesus can remove sin from our lives and cause us to stand Holy and pure before God (Heb. 9:12-15; 10:1-22; Isa. 1:18-20).

The Bible says that the way to be saved or born again is to repent of your sin (in other words turn away from evil) recognizing that you are a sinner, asking God to forgive you, and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior (Acts 2:38-39; John 3:16-18).

We are to believe in His sacrifice for us, in which He gave His life at Calvary to redeem us from spiritual death, sickness and poverty (1 John 3:16; Gal. 3:13014; I Peter 2:24; Isa. 53:4-5; 2 Corth. 8:9).

Romans 10:9-13 says if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, (right standing with God) and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever (that's you) shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you will ask the Lord Jesus into your heart right now wherever you are, you will be saved.

Just say to Him, Dear God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I repent of my sin and ask Jesus to become the Lord of my life. I now accept Him as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen.

If you prayed that prayer from your heart you are a new creation in Christ (2 Corth. 5:17-21; John 6:37). Old things are passed away and everything has become new.

If you did not make that commitment, do yourself a favor and look up the scriptures asking God to help you to see the truth in them. If you ask Him, you will be able to see the truth (John 14:6). Will you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today?

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21). I am calling on You.
I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10. "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead.

I am now reborn! I am a Christian--a child of Almighty God! I am saved! You also said in Your Word, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: HOW MUCH MORE shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" (Luke 11:13). I'm also asking You to fill me with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, rise up within me as I praise God. I fully expect to speak with other tongues as You give me the utterance (Acts 2:4).

Begin to praise God for filling you with the Holy Spirit. Speak those words and syllables you receive--not in your own language, but the language given to you by the Holy Spirit. You have to use your own voice. God will not force you to speak.

Now you are a Spirit-filled believer. Continue with the blessing God has given you and pray in tongues each day. You'll never be the same!

Find a good Word of God preaching church, and become a part of a church family who will love and care for you as you love and care for them.

We need to be hooked up to each other. It increases our strength in God. It's God's plan for us.

Are you ready to meet the Lord?

Is Christianity the One True Religion?

Yes, Christianity is the One True Religion. That may sound awfully dogmatic and narrow-minded, but the simple truth is that Christianity is the only true religion. Jesus said that He alone was the way to the Father (John 14:6), that He alone revealed the Father (Matt. 11:27; Luke 10:22).

Christians do not go around saying Christianity is the only way because they are arrogant, narrow-minded, stupid, and judgmental. They do so because they believe what Jesus said. They believe in Jesus, who claimed to be God (John 8:58; Exodus 3:14), who forgave sins (Luke 5:20; 7:40), and who rose from the dead (Luke 24:24-29; John 2:19f).

Jesus said that He was the only way. Jesus is unique. He was either telling the truth, He was crazy, or He was a liar. But since everyone agrees that Jesus was a good man, how then could He be both good and crazy, or good and a liar. He had to be telling the truth. He is the only way.

Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship with God. It is a trust in Jesus and what He did on the cross (1 Cor. 15:1-4) not on what you can do for yourself (Ephesians 2:8-9). Buddha didn't rise from the dead, nor did Confucius or Zoroaster. Muhammed didn't fulfill detailed prophecy. Alexander the Great didn't raise the dead or heal the sick. And though there is far less reliable information written about them, they are believed in.

The scripture is right when it says in 1 Pet. 2:7-8, "This precious value, then, is for you who believe. But for those who disbelieve, 'The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very corner stone,' and, 'A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense'; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed." (NASB).

The Mathematical Odds of Jesus Fulfilling Prophecy

"The following probabilities are taken from Peter Stoner in Science Speaks (Moody Press, 1963) to show that coincidence is ruled out by the science of probability. Stoner says that by using the modern science of probability in reference to eight prophecies, ‘we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 10 to the 17th power." That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000.

In order to help us comprehend this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 10to the 17 th power silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man."

Stoner considers 48 prophecies and says, "we find the chance that any one man fulfilled all 48 prophecies to be 1 in 10 to the 157th power , or 1 in 1000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 000,000,000."

(This information was taken from the book Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell.)

The estimated number of electrons in the universe is around 10 to the 79th power. It should be quite evident that Jesus did not fulfill the prophecies by accident. He was who He said He was: the only way (John 14:6).

The song being played is The Ballad of the cross. This tells the story in a beautiful way. To hear more of their music go to Songs of Praise:

The Ballad of the Cross

by Elton Smith and Larry Holder

By the prophets, God foretold
of the sending of His Son
Who would give His life to set the captive free.
Stepping down from His throne
and the glory He had known,
Jesus came to give His life for you and me.
Though He knew well the cost, He was prepared to suffer loss
and give Himself as ransom for us all.
Into our hopeless world He came,
Endured the suffering and the shame,
Every moment staying faithful to the call.

Yet the One who spoke of love
was rejected and despised;
He knew all too well the sinful heart of men.
Those with eyes refused to see;
Those with ears refused to hear,
as they sought a way to bring Him to an end.
By a friend He was betrayed, By soldiers, led away,
Yet for this very hour He had come.
They did not take - He freely gave;
For those He came to save,
the road to the cross He walked alone.

He could have called a million angels to His side,
Or stepped down from the cross and walked away.
Yet His love held Him there,
Through the pain and despair,
To free us from the debt we could not pay.

In His suffering and pain
Took the guilt and the shame
As He hung between the heavens and the ground.
Every nail, every thorn,
Every stare, every scorn
pierced the One who so freely laid it down.
With His face to the sky,
"It is finished!"was His cry
The words that broke the gates of hell.
When His final words were said,
Breathed His last, bowed His head,
Darkness o'er the land so quickly fell.

Yet death and darkness could not stand against His power:
He rose, victorious o'er the grave.
In His light we now may live,
By the grace He came to give
All who call upon His name are surely saved!
All who call upon His name are surely saved!
