[25] some of this information may be scrambled and involve more than one Americus: A Swain Co. NC death certificate for John Queen b. 7-8-1829 Jackson Co., NC, d. 8-24-1917, names his father as Americus Queen, b. TEXAS, and mother as Alice Parker, also born in Texas. The informant for this information was Reil Queen, who was also the undertaker. But the 1850 census information shows a different wife’s name for Americus. Two different men? Or one man with more than one wife?
