Raped by someone who was trusted, and the struggle for survival and healing. Read our story and you will see . . . You really can survive if you take time to believe and let Jesus help you. This is painful to write, but I am doing this with a good feeling. If I can help one person ~ if I can touch one life .... I am letting God be my guide as I do so. "I sat there in the car, watching the FBI bust the front door down with an ax. Wow, just like tv, I thought. What in the world do they think they are doing?" "Little did I know that in just a few hours, my world would crumble around me. My life, and those of my sons, shattered beyond repair. This was a feeling I would live with for many months to come." I had known evangelist "Brother Tony Leyva" since 1983, and had even worked for him. While I went to different towns to set up his tent, or to different churches to preach while he held revivals, my boys would spend weekends or even a week at a time with this preacher. I trusted this man and my sons looked up to him! He was like the dad they never knew, (their real dad was a alcoholic and abusive.) I remember thinking: "What better role model than this man of God." We would go on mini vacations together, Disney World, Cape Canaveral, and occasionally out to dinners. I thought my life was wonderful, happy knowing I was doing the work of God. All this time working together, there was not a sign of what was going on in the life of him or my sons.
