I wonder if you will remember
the many times I held your
small soft body
in my arms, vowing to protest
you from all harm.

I wonder if you will remember,
as I lie you down to sleep,
the many times I whispered
in your ear,
"I will always love you, and
I will always be with you in mind,
body, and spirit.
Every morning, noon and night."

I wonder if you will remember
all the special moments we shared,
as you sat in my lap,
eyes wide, looking up at me as I
rocked and sang to you, in my
favorite rocking chair.

I love you with all of my heart.
You are a jewel that sparkles
ever so bright.
