The "Fruit"of
the Holy Spirit
Here you will find Biblical
Scripture (KJV) revealing to you the fruit of The Holy
Spirit of God. If we are filled with the Holy Spirit then
we will possess these qualities. We will emit these
characteristics as Christ did during His life here on
Earth. How many of them do you have? How many of them do
you need to acquire? I hope that you find yourself oozing
with these fruits and pouring these attributes out upon
all you meet.
In His Name..... Helene

Ephesians 5:22-23
"But the fruit
of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness,faith, Meekness,
temperance:
against such there is
no law."
1. Love-
in Greek the word is agape meaning
Christian Love, Spiritual
love, a strong, considerate
love. A devotion type of love like God showed
us by sending us His Son. A
love like Jesus had for us and He showed
that by dying has for all of
us. An undying love. As Christians we are to
have this kind of Love for
all of God's creation.
2. Joy-
in Greek the word is chara
meaning happiness, emotional
excitement, rejoicing,
gladness of heart. The way that we should feel as
believers in Christ.
3. Peace-
in Greek the word is eirene
meaning peace or rest. In
contrast to strife; denoting
the absence or end of strife. A state of being
untroubled an inner and
outward peace that one receives when he has
received Jesus Christ as
Lord.
4. Longsuffering-
in Greek the word is makrothumia
meaning
patience, a restraining of
the mind before giving way to passion,
forbearance. A person who
does not act upon his anger; but, instead
prays for the person who has
angered him.
5. Gentleness-
in Greek the word is chrestotes
meaning
benignity, kindness, good.
The grace which is emitted from the nature of a
person, subduing all that
would be to the contrary.
6. Goodness-
in Greek the word is agathosune
meaning active
goodness. A person who is
actively good is one who does the will of
God without question. He is
one who promotes the the character of
Christ. It is not enough to
just be good... we must be actively good for
the good of all mankind.
7. Faith-
in Greek the word is pistis
from the word peitho,
meaning to
persuade. It literally means
being persuaded, faith, belief. Generally, it
implies a knowledge of,
assent to, and confidence in certain divine truths,
especially those of the
gospel (ie. good works).
8. Meekness-
in Greek the word is prautes,
or praus
meaning
meekness from within a man.
It does not refer to the outer nature of
man and his dealings with
others; but rather, an inner quality of grace
that is present in the soul
of a man. This inner grace is outwardly
evident by the man's devout
willingness to obey God's will rather than
his own.
9. Temperance-
in Greek the word is egkrateia
meaning
self-control,
self-restraint, obedient, and masterful. The ability of a
person to never let
anything, other than God, control his or her life.
They are not slaves to
anything of this world. They walk in accordance
with the will of God and pay
no attention to the the will of the world.
So what do you think? How
many fruits do you have or need? If you
find that you are lacking
many of these characterisitcs, you should go
humbly before the Lord and
repent of your shortcomings in His sight
and asked to be renewed in
His Love.
