Staying "au currant" and fashionable is so vital to one's image. Nothing says more about your purrrsonality than your style of dress. Each month I intend to address a different fashion dilema so be sure to bookmark this page so you can return and keep up with the latest trends. And if you have a fashio dilemma of your own, email me with your question.

Q:All my life my friends have called me MOUSY because my mother (who was 10 when she gave birth to me) insisted that a "lady" doesn't call attention to herself. I was only allowed plain gold studs for earrings. Now that I've grown up I want to dress more glamorously. I've been invited to a formal wedwinking and would like to wear a gown with glitter, but that is also in good taste.

A:Darling, I went straight to Catdoir for his advice and he said to look for a luxurious fabric, sheer, but not too revealing, classic, so you will be comfortable, but fashionable so you will feel young. Look at this oh-so-elegant little number. Black and white checks shot through with silver threads. So young, yet so classic. And look at the sheer sleeves. Oooh lah lah! My guess is that those vibrating checks will attract all sorts of attention!! (Not to mention CATTY comments.)

Q:My twin sister and I are co-chaircats for a charity ball. She insists that black is ultimate in elegance and that I have to wear it because it is flattering to our white fur. I am sick and tired of her bossing me around!(Just because she was born first and Mommy's favorite.) What should I wear to out-shine her for once and yet look polished and refined?

A:My dear, where is it written that black is the be-all and end all of formal wear? Off-white is a dramatic, yet genteel choice. Pair it with a simple gold choker with bangle bracelet and understated earstuds and you'll be the belle of the ball. (And before the party, be sure to take a nap on your sister's black dress. I do hope it is velvet...white cat hairs cling to black velvet so nicely!)

Q:I am a purrrrsonal fitness trainer. I have been invited to a mousetail party given by a member of the "A" list. I'll be meeting dozens of prospective clients. How can I best show off my purrrrrfect body so that my services will be in demand?

A:Darling, to flaunt what you've got think geometrics. This bold geometric pattern and the daring off-the shoulder bodice should attact future clients like a bird to a worm. Just to be on the safe side, and to leave no question in anybody's mind what KIND of business you are in, accessorize with coordinating wrist and head bands, not to mention tennis shoes. (And think of how you'll save your aching paws standing around in comfortable shoes while the rest of the females are tottering around in high heels.)

No sign of them... but what is this green stuff...better sniff out the trail...
