(you have to be to create
and maintain this many web pages)
I think I need help. LOL
If you asked my family they would agree. I've tried to
get it under control but,
I can't. The first thing I do in the morning is hop on
the puter.
The last thing I'm doing at night is working on the puter.
Sometimes I
come home for lunch and
eat while on the puter.
I've gotten very good at
hiding my addiction. I've learned to get my wifely & motherly
duties done while still on the puter But, I did have a close
call being late for work because I had a broken link that I had copied
and pasted throughout my pages and IT HAD TO BE FIXED before I left for
work.
This poem was sent to me
from an online friend.
I think it pretty much
sums it up. Thanks Nancy :)
I'm really not
an addict,
There is
no need to shout;
But talking with my puter friends,
Has turned
my life about.
I still do the grocery shopping,
And make a bed or two;
But instead of staring at TV,
I spend some time with you.
I go with friends or family,
To dinner or a show;
I take the time to hear my kids,
Or to watch a flower grow.
But yes, you'll find me off and on,
Sitting on my puter chair;
And talking to my cyber friends,
Who always seem to care.
There are redeeming qualities,
And hear me if you will;
Since playing in this cyber world,
I've improved keyboarding skill.
In fact I feel at peace with life,
Things are going well;
The only thing it hasn't done,
Is teach me how to spell.
My List of Things I can
do while browsing the web and working on my web pages:
* Talk on the phone
* Make the beds
*Change the bed sheets
*Wash, Hang or Fold Laundry
*Make dinner and Eat Dinner!
*Water the garden or flower
beds
*Vacume and dust
*Clean the bird cage
*Feed the cat and the fish
*Take out the trash
*Put on my makeup
*Paint my fingernails and
toenails
*Pack the kids for their
weekend with Dad
I'm sure there are more
but, they aren't coming to me at this moment since, everything is already
done.
Do any of these things
hit home? Then you too ~ are addicted to the web!
Hey, it could be worse!
There are worse addictions out there. At the moment
I am not looking for help
a support group. Although I think I am becoming a
hermit. Never want
to leave my house.
