Welcome

Granny's Remodeling Project#2
~The Shed~
When we purchased our home2 years ago. One of the main selling points were the 4 acres of groundthat the house sat on.  The yard was a mess!!  There were briarsand over grown brush everywhere.  The house was covered by overgrownshrubs and I knew that my work was cut out for me.  We moved froma larger rented home into this smaller purchased home.  I didn't panictoo much though because, buried in the shrub was a shed and it was empty. Unfortunately, I didn't take a before picture prior to hubby coming homewith the back hoe one day.  While I was looking forward to clearingout the "junk" I was not prepared for the site I came home to the day theback hoe worked here.!  He cleared all the brush from the shed andthis is what I was left with!

I was mortified with thelook of the shed.  It was better left covered!  I consideredpainting it but, why??  The roof had rotten area's and there was justNO WAY I was spending the next 20 years of my life with this piece of crap!! Not to mention it was in the middle of no where!  Totally screwingup my landscaping ideas!  Well, it took 2 years of cringing everytime I looked out the window or pulled in the driveway but, we were finallyable to afford the lumber to build our own shed.  The following picturesare the progress of my shed!!  I'm thrilled with it.  It houseseverything including my riding lawn mower and...we still have plenty ofroom.  My contribution to the building of the new shed was
1.  To stay out ofhubby's way and his wrath
2.  Keep the colddrinks coming.
(It was at least 90 degreesout the week the shed was being built.)
3.  Hubby designatedme to paint the darned thing!
(What an experience thatwas considering I am not crazy about heights!)
