Text:
Kinkell Castle, near Conon Bridge, Ross-Shire
-----------------------------
Prince Charlie in the Rebellion of 1745 was concealed here in
a secreit hiding place. A great many visitors from Strathpeffer
come here to see the Castle. It is an excellent state of
preservation the walls being six feet thick. There is a wall in
front of the Castle and surounded by Pine trees, among them a
splended Chestnut tree, a splended specimen for a Photographer.
Sketched - June 1901.
