My newest theory is that the John WASDIN listed in my lineage (John Lawton WASDIN's father) above that I have almost no information on (his parents, etc) may be the following John Riley WASDIN... I have yet to be able to prove or dissprove this theory...

This is some info that I found in the Appling County Georgia deed records. On Aug. 8, 1849 William Nut sold to Thomas Wasdin a parcel of land in the Fifth District and distingished of said District by Number 462 containing 490 Acres for the amount of $100.00 On Dec. 11, 1856 Thomas Wasdin sold the above property to William Brown for the amount of $175.00

This might be of interest. Jan. 6, 1873 ESTATE DISCHARGE RECORD Pierce Co., GA. Howell Wasdin, adiminstrator of Thomas Wasdin estate, said he has fullfilled his duty.

Here is some more info. for you, from the propate records in Pierce Co., GA. Jane Wasdin, Petotioned for administrator of John Wasdin who died in 1903. That Christopher Wasdin was his son and was named executor of his estate,. that Chistopher was now dead and she was the wife of John Wasdin.
