One more year has passed on by,
Another to begin,
Outside is brisk or bitter cold,
but it's nice and warm within.
Each year we all do celebrate
the new year that is coming.
We hope it’s better than the last.
One song we do keep humming.
Last year may have been real good,
or maybe it was bad.
No matter what it might have been
there’s no need to be sad.
A new year is an empty slate
upon which we will write.
No matter what has gone before
the new one can be bright.

We look for all the best
Not just for us and our family
but for each of the rest.
So celebrate the hope that comes
every New Year’s Eve.
Let past be past, put bad behind,
there is no need to grieve.

Take their keys, call a cab.
so what if they are late.
Tomorrow is another day,
and they won’t feel so good.
But they will be there to hug and love,
and share with you some food.
