Jared Family History

As far back as I have been able to go,our lineage starts with Thomas Jarrett who fathered Thomas Jarrell in about the year of 1710. Thomas Jarrell married Martha Kinchin in 1734. They had five children; John Jared, Thomas Jared, Ann Jared Ricks who married Richard Ricks, Elizabeth Jared, and Benjamin Jared.

John Jared was a wagon maker. He was born on June 25,1737 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. He married Hannah Witacre on August 8,1757 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They had three children; William Jared, Joseph Jared, and Naomi Jared Lovett. Hannah died November 8,1765. John married Rachel Palmer on August 23, 1767 and they had nine children; Hannah Jared, Ruth Jared, Israel Jared, Rachel Jared, John Jared, Thomas Jared, Elizabeth Jared, Sarah Jared, and Joel Jared.

Thomas Jared was born on September 7,1776 in Loudoun County,Virginia. In 1783 when Thomas was five years of age, he and his family moved to Bedford County, Virginia. He married Mary "Polly" Adkerson on October 25,1803 in Bedford County, Virginia. They had eight children; Sophia Jared, John Anslem Jared, a daughter Jared, Marshall Jared, A daughter Jared, Joel Jared, a daughter Jared, and William Lewis Jared. Thomas Jared is buried in Cookville, Tennessee.

Marshall Jared was born on November 15, 1817 in Breckenridge County, Kentucky. He married Mary Ann McCoy and they had nine children; Mary E. Jared, Nancy J. Jared Henderson, John L. Jared, Delbert Jared, Robert Bruce Jared, Emma Jared Freece, Ellen Jared McKinney, Warren Jared, and Thomas Jared.

Bruce Jared was born on November 14, 1856 in Paris, Illinois. He married Emily Josephine Scrivner on April 21, 1881. They had six children; Viola Jared Robinson married to William Henry Robinson, Frank Marshall Jared, Elva Jared Wolverton married to James Pruitt Wolverton, Orie Jared, John Jared, and Mabel Jared married to Edward James Hartman.

Mabel Jared was born on December 12, 1897 in Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa. She married Edward James (Ted) Hartman on August 09,1921 in Maryville, Nodaway County, Missouri. They had two children; Doris Irene Hartman married to Philip Edward Benedict and Barbara Joan Hartman Musser Rooney married to Arland Musser and after he died, she married Charles Rooney.

Doris Irene Hartman was born on April 03,1925 in Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa. She married Philip Edward Benedict on April 23, 1945 in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland. They had five children; Philip Edward Benedict II, Barbara Lou Benedict Browning married to Edward Harold Browning, Cheryl Kathleen Benedict married to first Harlan Glynn Jones and then Winston Don Eddings, Jo Suzanne Benedict Crowley Vitto Calk married first to Robert Lesley Crowley, second to John Joseph Vitto and third to Danny Irvin Calk. Their last child is Ginna Lee Benedict Turnage Allen married first to Barry Turnage and then to Bill Allen.

Cheryl Kathleen Benedict was born on April 12,1951 in Piqua County, Ohio.She married Harlan Glynn Jones in July of 1969. They had two children; Ronnie Dean Jones and Sandi Lynn Jones. They divorced and she married Winston Don Eddings on August 19,1978. They had three children; Donald Eugene Eddings, Tina Marie Eddings, married to Steven Michael Everling, and Philip Lester Eddings.

Ronnie Dean Jones was born on February 26, 1970 in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas. He has never been married.

Sandi Lynn Jones was born on June 29, 1972 in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas. She married Frank Richard Prosser on August 10,1996 in McKinney, Texas. They have two boys named Cody Wayne Prosser, born on May 2, 1996 and Chase Andrew Prosser, born May 27,2000.

Donald Eugene Eddings was born July 12, 1978 in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas. He married Jeanette Beatte Brand on June 24, 1998 in Gatesville, Coryell County, Texas. They have one child named Samantha Jean Eddings born on December 12,1997. Jeanette has three daughters named Kerri, Katie, and Sarah Heugatter.

Tina Marie Eddings was born on December 11, 1979 in Grand Prairie, Dallas County, Texas. She married Steven Michael Everling on July 03, 1998. They have one daughter born on December 12, 1997 named Sabrina Shea Eddings-Everling and one son born on July 8,1999 named Colton Andrew Everling.

Philip Lester Eddings was born on February 17, 1981. He is unmarried.
