I visited your web site checking on your Rowland links and they seemed to be about the same time and in KY, I was wondering if you have any information on my g-grandmother, Rhoda A. Rowland, born ?, who married William Henry Cantrell 3/20/1895 in Morgan Co., KY. She was the daughter of John Rowland and Margaret Fitzpatrick.

Thanks and please advise if you know of this family. I haven't been able to find any more info on the Rowland line yet. I have a lot on the Cantrells.

I am a descendant of Joseph ROWLAND, son of Henry ROWLAND and wife, Rebecca, who came from England/Wales and purchased land in Fairfield, CT in 1649. The ROWLAND family was mainly in Fairfield and New Haven CT. Part of family, William Maltby ROWLAND, moved to Georgia.

Would be interested in hearing from any other ROWLANDs in this line.

Glenda Rowland

I have some ancestors who left Watauga Co., NC in 1840-1841 who moved to Platt Purchase, MO. They were William Rowland b. 1805 and his wife Mary Smith Rowland, a sister of William, _________ Rowland (don't know her name); and Noah Mast b. 1812 married to Elizabeth Rowland (another sister of William) with their 3 children, Harvey, Mary and Joel Mast.
Do you have any information on these? Thank you.

I am a descendant (I think) of Allen Rowland (b: ca 1795, Robeson Co., NC; d: 1863, Scott Co., MS) and his wife, Flora Ann Chisholm. I descend (I think) through their daughter, Sarah Ann Rowland (b: 22 Oct. 1822, MS; d: 2 Aug. 1890, Limestone Co., TX), who married John L. Magee ca 1842 in MS.
Allen Rowland was the son of William Rowland (b: ca 1751, Fayette Dist., NC; d: before 7 Dec. 1826, Robeson Co., NC) and Elizabeth Thomas (probably the dau. of Elias Thomas) who were married ca 1771 in NC.
William Rowland is believed to be the son of Thomas Rowland (b: ca 1728, Williamsburg, VA; d: 1793, Robeson Co., NC) and Sarah Lee.
I would like to hear from anyone having additional information on any of these families.

Son: John Thompson, bn.1775 Amherst,VA d. and Will probated in Jun 1822 Botetourt CO.,VA, md. Judith Wills on 10 Sept 1791, consent of her father, James Wills, Sr.Judith's mom was Charlotte Taylor.
John and Judith Thompson had 6 children, unsure about number, still verifying. 4th child and son Anderson Thompson bn ca1800/02 d. 1860 md. Charlotte Kyle Rowland, bn 1804 and d.1865, parents were Thomas Rowland and Mildred Sarah [nee: Lewis].
Anderson's brother, Creed, bn abt 1799 md Eliza Coleman on 10 Jan 1821, and his sisters, 1st)Mary Arms Thompson b abt 1805 md John Shirkey 9 Sep 1821, and 2nd)Elizabeth Thompson b.abt 1807 md Elias M. Eubank on 21 Sept 1820. I can't seem to find the Rowland bunch. Anderson and Charlotte had 7 children and I found them on the 1850 Census of Botetourt CO., VA.

Searching for information on David Rowland, a miller originally from Wales who served in the Rev. War at Valley Forge. He settled somewhere in Chester County, PA after coming from Wales. I'm afraid I don't have dates for him.
Married Ann Allen (1748-1849) and had five children: Susan, Polly, David, Betsy and Samuel.
I have more info on descendants but none on ancestors, so any help would be appreciated. I'm just starting to research this branch of my tree and at the point am going on family interviews, lore and tradition.

I am looking for info and ancestors of a James Rowland b.1750-1760. Married Alletha ? - May have lived in PA for a period and then settled in Green Twp., Richland Co., Ohio (now Ashland Co.)
