(If possible, please view this page with an 800X600 display. Thanks) July In Wyoming!! The delphiniums are so spectacular in the month of July. The pink roses were so lovely this year. They were here when we purchased the house but were in such sad shape that the first year we didn't get any blooms. The buds turned brown on the edges and there weren't hardly any leaves on the bushes. After two years they seem a lot happier. I think I will ask on the Garden Web Forum and see if I can find out the name of this rose. If you know, I would be happy to hear from you. Steff planted this basket of Wave Petunias. Aren't they beautiful? I love the Wave Petunias because you don't have to deadhead them and they don't get 'leggy' like the other petunias. From now on this is the only type of petunias that I will buy. I think I will try to find the seed and start them next spring down in my basement. I wonder if they are hard to grow from seed? The little apples are doing great so far. We have five little apples on one branch. It was so strange because the apple blossoms appears on only one limb. It will be interesting to see what happens next year. This is the first bloom of my Gloriosa Daisy!! I planted these by sowing a bed with wildflower seeds last year. The Daisies came back this spring, are twice as tall and are blooming a month earlier. Really nice plant!! One of the wonderful things about growing your own garden is that you get to have fresh cut flowers. These look so pretty in my 'country' kitchen. The sunflowers are really growing. I am wondering just how tall they are going to get. The taller the better because Mr. Squirrel is already checking them out on his journey across the fence each morning. I hope he leaves enough so that I can dry them. That way he will have a wonderful treat this winter. I am building a shade garden where our yard swing is going to be. I am receiving shade loving plants from people all over the United States that I met on the Garden Web Forum. Such a great bunch of folks. I have already planted ferns, lily of the valley and impatience. Two very nice ladies are sending me some hostas, ajuga, more ferns and other shade loving plants later this month. I will be updating the progress of the shade garden as it grows so be sure and check back in a few weeks. *******Before*******After******* April May June August September October Back to Wyoming Garden Page |
