Interested to Know About Us? New Life Fellowship may seem like a big church, yet it's a large community with small groups throughout, where you can get to know people well and find people who care. Because we believe that caring relationships are an essential part of God's plan for us, we've set out to make sure you can find a place to connect with people near you.

Connecting

While it is true that each believer is vitally connected to God through the Holy Spirit, it is also true that in God's plan, we grow best when we find ourselves under the loving eye of brothers and sisters who will watch out for us, care for us and help us keep our commitments to God when we desire that help. That's why we feel it important to become involved in the network of people that form New Life in your area who are willing to pray for you, listen to you and tell you the truth.

Home Groups

New Life is made up of Home Groups which as the name indicates, meet in homes. These groups are the church, and a place to live out the biblical princples we hear taught on Sunday mornings.

Friendship, bible study, prayer, worship, snacks, real people, laughter. These are all ingredients of New Life Home Groups. You are always welcome to come and visit... no dotted line on which to sign!

New Life History NLF was founded in 1987 by Pastor Pete Scazzero, in response to God's call to plant a bi-lingual church in New York City

that would bring together people from two different languages and many different ethnic groups and reach the inner city for Christ. Pastor Pete is a graduate of Princeton University and missionary to Central America. NLF is one of the city's most dynamic and ethnically diverse church communtities. God has miraculously blessed NLF and sparked significant growth every year, for the past decade. The church meets in about 30 home groups throughout the week with several hundred people attending Sunday celebrations.

Our Mission Our mission is to glorify God by reaching the lost and demonstrating the love of Christ across racial, cultural, economic and gender barriers (Gal. 3:28). Our aim is to equip each member to:
Grow in devotion to Jesus Connect relationally with each other Serve with their spiritual gifts Make disciples while living amoung those who still need Christ

Our Vision God's purpose for NLF is to cooperate with Him in building His church throughout the world: to "go into all the world and make disciples of all nations..."(Matt.28:19). We desire to cultivate in people devotion and intimacy for the person of Jesus and genuine compassion to aggressively reach the lost for Him.

God has called us to nurture a multi-congregational, multi-ethnic, bilingual (i.e. Spanish & English) church in NYC that will plant churches in other large urban centers, both in the U.S. and around the world.

Ministries We believe that believers should have the opportunity to serve with the gifts and passion that God has given them. These are some of the ways NLF offers for it's members to serve.

Celebrations Ministries: These include the Worship Team for the musically inclined, Children's Ministries for those with a love for children and teaching them the things of God, Hospitality for those who love to serve.

Theater Ministry: New Life Theater is a ministry of outreach comprised of those in our church body who seek to glorify God and spread the word of His love through acting, song, dance, set design, costumes and makeup. God is the great creator and this venue displays His works wonderfully! Community Ministries: Each of our geographic communities have ministries based on the specific needs of that community. Here is a sample of ministries that are currently ministering in various communities:

Compassion Ministries:Bridge to Life Ministries is for those who have a heart for the homeless.

What we Believe We affirm the historic faith of the Christian Church. We believe in the Bible and seek to live by it. We believe that Christ, the Son of God, died for the sins of men and women everywhere. As we come to God in repentance and faith we receive forgiveness and new life in Christ.

How To Become a Follower of Christ Jesus came to reconcile man's relationship to God which was ruined by sin. To restore that relationship, we accept Christ's sacrifice of His innocent life to pay for our sins.
To receive Christ, you may pray a simple prayer like this:
"God, I admit that I have sinned and that I can't do anything on my own to restore my relationship with You, except to accept Jesus' death on the cross as payment for my sin. I want to turn from sin and follow You for the rest of my life, knowing that I will look forward to a joyful eternity in heaven. I ask you to come into my life and I accept you as my personal Savior, in Jesus Name. Amen."
