WOW!!! This is a powerful story!!! I am a college student. I have heard of so many young people my age that have committed suicide due to feeling as if their parents do not love them. It is good to know that the little things in life do matter...like the love between a parent and child!!!!!

I've seen this before many times but never with the graphics and the music. When I received it I immediately began sending it to all the people in my life who make a difference. Then I remembered a yound man I had spoken to some time back who was going hrough some very difficult times....and I sent it to him. He read it and wrote back saying it couldn't have arrived on a better day. He had been feeling low and it helped pick his spirits up. What a wonderful feeling to know, that with the touch of a hand, and some help from you......a young man is now feeling better about himself.

A woman was stranded at the lake this evening and suffered extremely LOUD verbal abuse from her husband while her daughter watched. Another couple that they were with had been yelling obscenities at each other and my children and friends that were with m were appalled and were frightened that the couple might be so violent as to have a gun when they heard them slapping each other. We quickly packed our three cars and began to leave. The woman asked both of my friends for a ride to which both of them re lied no. I was planning to say no also when she approached my car and two children. I immediately thought "What would Jesus do?" and what if I were stranded?.....(I was also the very last patron of the paid lake lot that was leaving) I told the woman a d her daughter that I would give them a ride. I drove out of my way and took them to their apartment. Both of my girlfriends came back to the lake to check on me and strongly advised me NOT to let them in my car saying "They've been drinking and they're violent!" The girls were not violent and it didn't appear to me that they had been drinking. The woman expressed her appreciation many times during the long trip to her apt. When they got out she said that if she ever saw me again and I needed help - s e would help me. I said, "Please just help someone else in need." and she said that she would. When I got home I was exhausted, sandy, wet, and tired with two children that had fallen asleep without their baths. Along with that, I found a very disturbi g letter taped to my front door.....I have had SO much stress in my life lately that this was more than I could bear. After reading the letter and throwing up from stress, I checked my e-mail and found this beautiful site sent to me. I couldn't believe t and it brought tears to my eyes. "We've got to give a little love, have a little hope, and make this world a little brighter." This e-mail made a difference in my life tonight. Thank you.. I will pass it on......Lisa

I was so touched when i read this. I am only a 13 y/o female but as i was reading it tears came to my eyes. Lately i've just been feeling left out and like nobody cared about me. Yhis is all so beautiful! I am going through alot in my life---my jusband has been diagnosed with PTSD(Post Trauma Symdrom Disease). He has considered suicide and has been in crisis for 10 days becuase of that thinking. This is playing havoc with our live and our marriage. What a treasure my dear, sweet friend has shared with me. Thank you sooooo much for touching my heart with your WONDERFUL page. And your readers, I just want to reach out and hug them all. For those struggling through difficult times, my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Been there and felt the despair, loneliness and sadness. Divorced after 31 years, new love found, new love lost, I know pain...and I know the strength to be found through our special friends, ourloved ones and deep within ourselves. I'm a guy who could (would) never bare my heart and soul....never allowing myself to appear vulnerable, never taking a serious peek at that other, softer side of me. I thought it a very inspirering message. I only wish I had it 2 yrs. ago as my son's first serious love committed suicide because she thought her parents didn't care. I wish they had had a blue ribbon to give to her to let her know she was VERY special. I've passed this on to several others now so that they too know they are special even if I haven't met them in person. I totally agree with you, every one is special!! Especially YOU, because YOU weren't afaid to speak up & say "YOU ARE SPECIAL!"

I am 50 and had just hung up the phone after a conversation with my ageing mother. I was so very angry at myself for not being strong enough to resist her demands and manipulations and accusations. I felt like a small child again and was helpless to help myself. I did a search for a support group for survivors of child abuse and found your page. After entering the quiet page and taking the suggested deep breaths I began to feel less angry. I will be in Melbourne next week (27 July - 31 July) in the course of my employment and will not have access to my PC. Will contact you again after I return the following weekend. Thank you. I did not know you existed until tonight. You have given me some peace of mind and some strength. However I am a bit wary about identifying my email address. I'm not sure how to enter a chat room as I have only been on the internet a few days, so have written some thoughts here.

I am sitting here crying my eyes out being honored with a blue ribbon makes my day if not my year... I have had some absolutely awful things said about me last night via email that have just broken my heart. And I do not know how to put my heart back agai with all it's pieces in the right place. All I want is to hug people and be a sunbeam in a strangers life and just when I think I am bringing sunshine in some people's lives they turn on me.. talk about hurt... you know it's funny I would give any thin to be remembered for helping others then for being ill. I did not plan on nor do I need the attention someone gets from being sick. But to get attention from the goodness I have done for others even if it is just to put a smile on a stranger face becaus maybe I helped some one read what is on a can of whatever in a grocery store because they can't with out them even asking me to or to wipe a persons mouth that I do not know who can not do it for them selves and see them smile is all I need to die happ . But if god takes me tonight in my misery caused by the mean people in this world has to be the worst punishment that god could ever give me. I scream softly in my head as I write this my god! my god! why have you forsaken me... as I type this... why wo ld god see fit to have people hurt me so I just don't know.... to go on ... aaahh... would be very challenging to say the least. But then I see sweet Willyuum's face and I say I can get through this some how... I will I got a blue ribbon from someone out here in cyberspace that doesn't even know me. See that is a sign to me to maybe get up in the morning tomorrow.... So to Beth & friend I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this blue ribbon you guys have saved a life tonight... because I have really had it... not joke no idle threat just truth... So mahalo for the ribbon and this web site.....
