When in sorrow, call John 14.
When men fail you, call Psalm 27.
When you want to be fruitful, call John 15.
When you have sinned, call Psalm 51.
When you worry, call Matthew 6:19-34.

When God seems so far away, call Psalm 139.
When you faith needs stirring, call Hebrews 11.
When you are lonely or fearful, call Psalm 23.
When you grow bitter and critical, call I Corinthians 13.
For Paul's secret of happiness, call I Corinthians 3:12-17.
For Paul's idea of Christianity, call II Corinthians 5:15-19.
When you feel down and out, call Romans 8: 31-39.
When you want rest and peace, call Matthew 11: 25-30.
When the world seems bigger than God, call Psalm 70.
When you want Christian assurance, call Romans 8: 1-30.
When you leave home for labor or travel, call Psalm 121.
When your prayers grow narrow or selfish, call Psalm 67.

S is for super, a beautiful voice.
S is for sharing, her generosity a choice.
I is for intelligent, she's smart as she can be.

A is for angelic, sent from heaven above.
All we have in our hearts for her is abundant love.

POETRY:
"Gifts Bestowed"

A head is bowed, a prayer is said
Another soul to Christ is lead
A heart is cleansed, a life's been changed
A person's goals are rearranged

Talents are added, to this one
Who's been redeemed by God's dear Son
These talents make Christ's body strong
Their use will move the church along

Christ gives, for only He can know
What gifts will help His people grow
Our gifts combine to meet each need
When the beckon call of Christ we heed.

A pastors needed, prayers are raised
The need upon a heart is placed
A soul is hurt, to Christ they cry
One's sent on whom they can rely

A special gift we each possess
To teach, bring joy, relieve distress
If used these gifts will tend to grow
And more to you God will bestow

But if they're hidden, they'll decay
A often times taken away
And given to another one
Who'll heed the call of God's dear Son

So use the talents, use them all
And go whener'e you hear the call
For only then you'll know the bliss
Of peace and untold happiness.

"THE LORD'S PRAYER by a SINNER"

I cannot say OUR if God did not graciously give me the opportunity
to pray for both myself and my neighbor

I cannot say FATHER if God is not loving so I can come to Him as a child comes to a
dear father.

I cannot say WHO ART IN HEAVEN if God cannot answer any request I make according
to His good and perfect will.

I cannot say HOLLOWED BE THY NAME if God does not give me His holy and precious
Word of life. May it be taught to me in all its truth and purity so that
I can live my life according to it!

I cannot say THY KINGDOM COME if God does not grant me His grace so that I may believe
His holy and precious word of life.

I cannot say THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN if God does not strengthen
and keep me firm in His Word and faith until I die.

I cannot say GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD unless I realize that all the support of my
life is a gracious gift of God that I can receive with thanksgiving.

I cannot say FORGIVE US OUR TRESSPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESSPASS
AGAINST US if God would look upon my sins and on their
account deny my prayer. As He forgives may He empower me to sincerely
forgive and gladly do good to those who sin against me.

I cannot say LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION unless God guards and keeps me so that the
Devil, the world and my sinful flesh does not mislead me into false belief,
despair, and other great shame and vice. I pray for His help
that I may overcome them and obtain the victory.

I cannot say DELIVER US FROM EVIL unless God rescues me from every evil of body and soul,
possessions and reputation, and finally, when my last hour comes graciously
take me from this valley of sorrow
to Himself in heaven.

I cannot say THINE IS THE KINGDOM if God were not the King of kings and Lord of lords.

I cannot say THINE IS THE GLORY if Christ had not assumed Hus glory by enduring the cross for my sins.

I cannot say AMEN unless I honestly say, "Lord, I believe. Help me to overcome my lack of faith.

AMEN
