Jesus is placed on the cross
Jesus ask God to forgive
The people who were putting
Him to death-Jewish leaders
politicans and solders
God answered that prayer by
Opening up the way of
Salvation even to Jesus' murders
The Roman centurion and soldiers
Who witnessed the crucifixion said
"Surely he was the Son of God"
Because we are sinners, we all
Played a part in putting Jesus
To death. The gospel, the Bible
The Good News-is that God is
Gracious. He will forgive us and
Give us new life through his Son.
I wonder how many of us could ask
God to forgive them, if it was us
That was being nailed to a cross
This takes true love. The kind that
Jesus had for us. His love is True
Two other men, both criminals,were
Also led out with him to be executed.
One of the criminals who hung there
Hurled insults at him,telling him to
Save himself if he was the Christ
But the other criminal rebuked him.
"Don't you fear God." he said,
"Since you are under the same sentence?
We are punished justly,for we are
Getting what our deeds desrve. But this
Man has done nothing wrong."
Then he said,"Jesus, remember me when
You come into your Kingdom."
(Luck 23:40,41)
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth,
Today you will be with me in paradise."
Jesus died for you and me,
We must forgive all that has hurt
Us.We must,if we want God to forgive us
Ask Jesus to come into your heart today
Forgive your friends and family for the
Wrongs they have did you. Then ask Jesus
To forgive you. Ask him to come into your heart
If Christ can ask God to forgive The ones
That put him to death on that cross
