Desert
Living
land of moving sand
Blowing - unconfined;
Changing forms and shapes - untimed.
Dunes and dunes of sand.
Solid
waves of moving dust
Just at the winds command;
Crescent shaped - the winds demand -
Rippling waves of dust.
Shimmering
in the desert sun
the yellow heaps and mounds,
Engulfed by silent sounds
Beneath the desert sun.
Shivering
beneath the desert night
The sand by mile and mile.
Moving 'long all the while
Beneath the desert night.
Glittering
in the light of day
Belated to a beach;
Piles and piles - horizons reach,
Glittering in the day.
Endless
dunes in ceasless motion
Living for all of time
Particles so very fine
Living in ceasless motion.
