I was born in Johannesburg on the 28th of February. Yep it was a leap year so you can try and figure out my age. Certainly not the youngest of spring chickens but still very young at heart. Most of my junior schooling was done in Johannesburg however I spent six years at a boarding school in the Northern Transvaal (now called Mpumulanga), which I thoroughly enjoyed. I managed to pass my schooling fairly easily while still having a lot of fun.

I currently work for Old Mutual (the largest assurance company in Southern Africa) as a Senior Training Facilitator and have been training for the past 12 years or so. Prior to this I sold assurance, was administative manager for one of our branches and assisted in establishing a Regional Office in the Eastern Cape. Old Mutual is about to become a public company and will shortly be listing on the London and other International stock exchanges. Perhaps you would like to consider buying some shares at some stage.

Before joining the assurance industry I worked for a bank, a building society and and Alitalia airlines and have travelled fairly extensively.

MY FAMILY

Marlene and I have been married for 12 years and have twin daughters Ashleigh and Samantha (dads darlings). They will celebrate thier 10th birthhday on 13 October this year and would love to receive some email.

Marlene works half day at the University of Port Elizabeth. She is not as fond of the Internet as I am. She thinks it bytes, however she enjoys music, reading, educating the twins and spending time with the family, and is an excellent mom.

Favourite pastimes

I enjoy good wine, THE INTERNET, music, a little reading , and watching sport on telly. I sometimes write a little poetry. I simply love chatting on the net. I can usually be found on PowWow , ICQ or you can IM me. Marlene is not too partial to the net. She says it keeps me away from the household chores like cleaning the swimming pool (it has turned green), mowing the lawn (it has grown very ll o nnnn g), changing light bulbs (the monitor screen works in the dark), and it keeps me out of bed (but we already have twins). { : )
