Oct. 24, 1999 :
Moved the mother from the 180 gallon tank to the 125 gallon tank a few weeks ago because I suspect she was pregnant again. Woke up one morning to feed the rays then I noticed the female slightly thinner. I knew she was pregnant again but I did not expect her to give birth this soon. She did give birth to just one pup which makes it very unusual. I think this pup was born late or developed late as opposed to its siblings that were born on the 5th of July. Surprisingly this pup is slightly fatter and bigger than its previous siblings born a few months ago because it spent more time in the mothers womb. You will notice from the pictures below that new born pups are slightly lighter in color and the spots will eventually darken once it starts feeding. By the way, new pup is a male. That makes 3 baby motoros.
