First, you are asking, What is ASCII ART?...I will explain:
Standard ASCII art is made by using only letters, numbers, punctuation marks and symbols such as those at the left. These characters are part of the ASCII (America Standard Code for Information Interchange) set. This part of the ASCII set, is called the 'printable set' (characters 32 to 126). Alot of ASCII art is used in the signature on email (I have addressed this under 'help').

Question:What font do you use when copying the ASCII and then pasting it to a letter? I have tried to copy some designs and when I go to paste it, it is all screwed up. I use the Courier New on all of them but at times that doesn't even work.
Answer:I see that you are on AOL. AOL 3.0 doesn't have an option for fixed width fonts... AOL 4.0 does.. and it is 'Courier'-- not 'Courier New'.. try that (or try FixedSys). Be assured that just about everyone else outside of AOL can see the ASCII just fine with a fixed-width font--- even if you send it out skewed in an AOL proportional font.
