~Scottish Shortbread~
This delightful Scottish Shortbread is wonderful all by itself
without any accompaniment! The lovely buttery taste
shines through and is enhanced
by a hot cup of tea!
Ingredients needed:
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 sticks Butter
- 2 cups flour
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix sugar & butter until creamy.
- Add flour.
- Knead! Shape dough to an inch thick.
- Cut in triangles, rectangles or other shape & prick with a fork.
- Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 15 - 20 minutes.
