The sun rises,
It blesses us with its rainbow of colors,
The red, as the reddest rose,
The blue, is the bluest sea,
Yellow, as the color of a black-eyed susan,
Green, as the grass on a hot summer day.
The dew sparkles on the grass like a thousand diamonds,
When the sun hits it.
It stays there on the tip of the new grass
Waiting to be picked,
But when you touch it
It trickles down your finger
When you sit there and watch the sun
It makes you feel warm, safe, and secure.
You want to feel like this forever.
For eternity you will remember
The way the sunrise touched you.
