Joseph Gassiot born in France married  Cemantha Evans. Joseph and Cemantha moved to Polk County, Texas where their youngest daughter Marier Teresa  Texas Gassiot was born on September 23, 1854 in Polk County, Texas died June 9, 1903 in Trinity County, Texas. On Marier's grave  in Trinity County, Texas it says Marier T.T. Hamilton.  Her parents added the name Texas to her name because she was the only child born in Texas.  She married Joel Seaton Hamilton.  Joel Seaton Hamilton was born September 23, 1854 in Trinity County, Texas died April 6, 1897, son of John Wesley Hamilton and Linney A. Moore

2. Myrtle Opal Hamilton born April 7, 1909 Nogalas Prarie, Trinity County, Texas died February 2, 2000. Tyler, Smith County, Texas married November 4, 1930 in Trinity County, Texas Alton Arnold born July 27, 1912 in Trevat, Trinity County, Texas,  died November 9, 1994 Tyler, Smith County Texas, son of Richard Arnold and Tobithey (Bithey) Ellen Lancaster.

Rosie Lena Lowery and Edgar Nicholas Hamilton had a total of four children. Two children died in infancy and they are buried with Lena in Ivie Cemetery.  Grandma Myrtle could not remember the names of the two infants.
