Sheet StampsStamps can be purchased at the post office in entire panes. A sheet is composed of the original panes (four or more) as they came off the printing press, still attached to one another. These stamps have perforations on all sides. Stamps are also printed in commemorative sheets, as shown above.

Booklet StampsThe post office sells stamps in little booklets as a convenience for customers to carry around in their purses or wallets. The stamps are cut into blocks or strips and bound within a protective cover. These stamps are generally flat on at lest one side.

Coil StampsA stamp with flat edges at the top & bottom or right & left sides which is manufactured in long strips or rolls for use in stamp vending machines, is known as a coil satmp.
