Welcome to 2168 MicBran Lane. My home is located in the quiet little community of Heartland Plains which is a part of the Geocities Heartland Community. I am so glad you could stop by and visit. While you are here, take some time to enjoy the sights of MicBran Lane as well as some sights that are located throughout the Heartland Community. There are so many sites to see and places to visit that I know you will want to return again and again. My pages aren't intended to be viewed in frames so if you're stuck in someone else's frames, you maybreak free here.
As you begin your stroll down MicBran Lane, you will be invited into the homes of our friends. Each of their homes has its own unique story to tell about the lives and interests of those who dwell there. You will find no two homes are alike yet each of these homes are warm and inviting for parents and children alike. Take the time to stop in for a cool drink. You won't be sorry you did.
The education of our children is a primary focus to the families that call MicBran Lane their home. Educating our children to become healthy, productive members of our society takes special care and is a task not taken lightly. Indian Creek Elementary School and West Coffee Middle School strive to provide the best quality of education possible by educating the "whole child". Through it's FLIGHT program, Indian Creek provides a safe, educationally sound, yet fun place for our kids to learn that continues on at West Coffee Middle. Our schools realize however, that educating our children can not be successfully accomplished without the involvement of the parents that do so much to help make our schools special.
One of the favorite places to visit down MicBran Lane is the Candy Shop. The Candy Shop is full of fun treats that will delight you and keep you coming back again and again. Should you find that there is something you need but do not find it here, please tell the shopkeeper and she will be glad to order it for you. And of course, accidents do happen. So should you find something within the shop broken, the shopkeeper would like to know this as well.
Just to the right of the Candy Shop you will find our Hospice Center. Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide sensitivity and support for people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on an alert, pain-free life and to manage other symptoms so that their last days may be spent with dignity and quality at home or in a home-like setting.
Around the corner and to the left of the Candy Shop you will find the library. In the Library you will discover the resources that will help you learn and develop you web page design. You will also find sources for backgrounds, music, gifs, java and so much more that will make your homepage extra special and personal. Should you find that there is something you need but do not find it here, please tell the librarian and she will be glad to order it for you.
Across the street from the Library you will find The Old Book Shoppe. As you browse the shelves you will find a large assortment of books that are from all interest ranges. The Shoppe Keeper has carefully selected the very best books on a variety of topics in order for you to have the best selection choices possible. However, if you would like a specific book and do not see it on the shelves, please email the Shoppe Keeper and let her know so that she may get it for you.
To the right of the Library you will find the Cafe. The owner is a kindly old woman who loves to hear the sounds and laughter of children. The mothers in the neighborhood come to the Cafe to chat with their friends while their children safely play in the gardens the owner has created for them to explore. The gardens are a safe yet magical place full of fun and entertainment for the children to see and enjoy.
Just a short walk past the Cafe is the local beauty shop. Here friends gather to embrace life, purchase gifts, have private makeovers, attend skin care and glamour classes, and supply themselves with all of their personalized beauty needs. The Beauty Shop's owner has been here for several years and knows how to make her customers look and feel the best they can be. The Beauty Shop is both private and secure so that you may shop with confidence.
You will find the Courthouse located across the street from the Chapel. The courthouse is a very special place for those of us who live in MicBran Lane as it houses the deeds to our homes, marriage licences, birth certificates, webrings and the awards my homepage has won. Take a moment to browse through the files you find here for they are very special and a source of pride for me.
The owner of the general store is also the retired editor of the Heartland community newspaper known as The Heartland Edition. The Heartland Edition is a small town paper that is full of information about the Heartland Community. Among it's pages you will find the names of those who are having birthdays or anniversaries, information about awards and contests, help that is needed within the community, information about the Community Helpers, and even some trivia from the Editor herself. If you have something that you would like to contribute to The Heartland Edition, please contact the Editor and he will get it to the press as soon as possible. Also, share The Heartland Edition with the visitors to your homes! If you have enjoyed The Heartland Edition, download this gif to your hardrive and link it to The Heartland Edition so all of Geocities and the Internet may enjoy!
