This Weeks Memory Verses Are:

Monday: Genesis 22:1 (niv) Some time Later God tested Abraham, He said to him , "Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am ," he Replied.

Tuesday:Genesis 22:2 (niv) Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah, Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on th one of the mountains I will tell you about.

Wednesday: Genesis 22:3 (niv) Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. he took with himtwo of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about.

Thursday: Genesis 22:4 (niv) On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.

Friday: Genesis 22:5 (niv) He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you ."

Saturday: Genesis 22:6 (niv) Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together.

Sunday: Genesis 22:7 (niv) Isaac Spoke Up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, My son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here, " Isaac said, "But where is the lamb for the burnt offering?".

This weeks Memory verses are more of a lesson than memory verses, I have included this because it is a lesson that truly is one place int he Bible that show Jesus was truly the Messiah. This has to be one of the best. Many would say, "why did Abraham do what God said this time?" He didn't have faith many other times in his life. Abraham had been through some tremendous testing and trials and now he was obedient to what God wanted.

Isaac was Abraham's only son through Sarah. In the same way, when you read John 3:16, you see that God send "his only begotten Son" to die for us. As far as Abraham was concerned, his son was dead for three days. This is from the time that God told him what He wanted until god showed him what he was going to do.

Jesus Christ was in the grave three days before he rose triumphantly, defeating death once and for all . Abraham spoke prophetic words the day he almost slayed his son. "God will provide Himself a lamb for the sacrifice."

God did provide a ram for Abraham's sacrifice and Himself many years later as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. The willingness and faith of Abraham showed God's perfect plan down through the ages.
