Answer to this question

First of all I would like to say I get around that verse by not being a pastor......I am and Evangelist...there is a big difference......I do not take the lead role in the church I just do teachings in and evangelistic mode. then I use the following verses to back my being an Evangelist :

Isaiah 61:1

Acts 2:17-18

if you read those verses you will notice that it talks of all people... then I have a question for you ... How do you explain Priscilla and Aquilla Paul said they were servants of the church..and Priscilla was a woman..(i.e.. Pastors, prophetices, evangelist, teachers....) then I bring to your attention that the first people to see Jesus on the Resurection day was Two women, and the angel of the Lord spoke to them and told them to go tellabout what they had seen to the deciples. (what an importand job for a women) and Jesus never shyed away from women in the Ministry, if you look at the time that Mary washed Jesus's feet and the desciples scolded her for it and Jesus inturn scolded them for scolding her, Jesus new the value even then of women in the ministry. I do not hold office above any man, but I do teach men of the Love that God has for them, If you dissagre with me on this front that is your oppinion, besides who said that we could put a limit on God on who he can use and who he cannot use. if you look at it the way I do the pastors role is not much different than the Sunday school teachers role as you are both doing what God commanded of all Christians TEACH HIS WORD......why split hares when the Goal is the same...I never understood why Christians would want to split hairs on such trivial subjects as women preaching and what to wear, and jewelry or no jewelry or makeup or no makeup....when we should be focusing our attention on more inportand things...like Spreading the Wonderful Gospel that God has given us.....
