The sparkle
she must have had,
When she
knew his Dad.
For someday
they would have a lad.
Oh! The beauty
in her eyes,
When she
must have realized.
To her a
son was born.
Then one
day there was only one.
A family
secret must be kept — As she wept,
They
took away her son.
Where did
he go?
For two long
years she would not know.
As tears
flowed from her eyes.
Now with
a broken heart,
Why did they
have to part?
Oh! The sadness
in her eyes.
Then one
day, a boy came to play.
In his Grandmother’s
home.
Oh!
The sparkle in her eyes.
Yes! she
realized — It must be he.
Her son had
come back home.
For her to
see — Yet not to be.
Her eyes,
would paralyze,
As she looked
into his soul.
Terrified
as a child — He would never know.
As her nephew,
you see,
He would
— Reject her soul.
Her eyes
would not let him go.
Son — You
may never know,
How dearly
— I love you so.
Why I had
to let you go.
Though you
can never be with me,
In my arms
I long for thee.
Please forgive
me — You will see.
I always
want you to know,
In my eyes
and my heart, I love you so.
For I am
your Mother — Don’t you know?
Someday the
family secret will unfold,
The true
story you may be told.
Then you
will come to realize.
All the sacrifices
I made for thee,
Then
in My Eyes — You will see.
The Mother
who was not meant to be.
Lord , Forgive
me for forsaking her,
Her spirit
is with you now — In the grave her body lies.
For now that
I know — I am unable to see,
The Love
— In Her Eyes.

My Friends,
Please do not wait, until its too late.
Reach out
and tell them — So in her eyes she will know.
“ For
the gift of Life you have given me,
I Love you
Mom.”
