Memorial
This page is dedicated to my Dad, Carl W.Larkins, a tower of strength and the kindest most gentle man I have ever known. He instilled in me, his beliefs and the values for life that I hold so dear today. And to my adopted brother Thomas D. Harper Jr., who also held these same beliefs and values for life. They include a deep respect and love for our Ancesters, our Heritage, and our Cultures. They also teach us to respect others and their cultures and to fulfill our responsibility to care for, nurture and protect this planet we share with God's other creatures. The song you hear playing is called Kanaka wai wai, an old Hawaiian Hymn, which was my brother's favorite. ; Initial Classtag ; Image 1 to load ; Image 2 to load ; resolution (1-8) ; speed of fade (1-255) ; pause in milliseconds. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always use. Laugh as we always laughed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray of me. Let my name be a household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it was: there is absolutely unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before, only better, infinately happier and forever. We will all be one, together, with Christ. Thank you Dad for your strength, guidance and most of all for your love you gave so freely to us and to others of this world. And to you bruddah Tom for sharing your life with us and for enriching mine. I love and miss you both very much, and will keep you both deep within my heart and soul, until we see each other again. Ke akua ho'omaika'i kakou.
