Pool has been found on the Federal Census records of 1840 - Desoto County, Mississippi; 1850 - Greene County, Arkansas; 1860 - Greene County, Arkansas; 1870 - Greene County, Arkansas. His wife Mary was found on the 1880 - Franklin County, Arkansas census living with her daughter Julia and her husband Rufus Benjamin Tyler. According to Irene Amato's book "William and Eleanor Nutt of Virginia and Carolina Their Descendants and Allied Families", Mary Nutt Pool died between 1900 and 1910 in Oklahoma.
