Location
The County of Wheatland is border on the north by the Municipal District of Kneehill. The Red Deer River runs south-easterly on the eastern side of the County. The County of Newell lies to the south east, The Bow River forms the southern boundary while the Municipal District of Rocky View lies to the west.
The approximate land area is in Townships 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, Ranges 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28. This area was settled in 1883 as the Canadian Pacific Railway was built from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
