Family Ties Adoption Search Database was created to assist Adoptee's and Birthparents find one another. I feel its a shame that we needs these types of sites. We adoptees should have the legal right to have our biological history known to us. At some point in each adoptee's lives before we were 18, a group of adults entered into a contract which may have been in our best interest however now as adults these contracts are held in our faces which prevent us from obtaining what is rightfully ours. I have a strong desire to change the way adult adoptee's searching for their birth heritage are treated. These contracts should become null and void once the minor adopted child reaches the age of 18.
