Heaven's Very Special Child A Meeting was held quite far from earth "Its time again for another birth, "Said the angels to the Lord Above, "This special child will need much love. Her progress may seem very slow Accomplishments she may not show And she will require extra care From the folks she meets way down there. She may not run or laugh or play Her thoughts may seem quite far away In many ways she won't adapt And she will be known as handicapped. So let's be careful where she is sent We want her life to be content Please, Lord, find the parents who Will do a special job for You. They will not realize right away The leading role they are asked to play But with this child sent from above Come stronger faith and richer love And soon they will know the privilege given In caring for this gift from heaven Their precious charge, so meek and mild, Is Heaven's very special child. I too~have a handicap child and have been working with other peoples special children and families for over 20 yrs.. I know OUR precious gift are more than some will ever know. The love we recieve from our special Gifts from God is freely given and is unconditional love. We as parents, chosen to care for Gods special gifts~ are stronger due too the gifts we have received. I thank God for mine and all the other children I have had a chance to meet~ love~ and grow with .... ~KySpirit~.
