Nakita, Our Rottweiler

About Nakita

Nakita is one year old. My boyfriend and I adopted Nakita from people in Orlando. She was a stray dog and we wanted to take her in and love her. She is an excellent dog. When we went to pick her up, she followed my boyfriend to our car and climbed in with no problem. She must have been walking for a while because her front paw was swelled and bruised. She also had a cut on her face. We immediately took her to the vets and she had to get staples for her cut and stayed overnight for observation. She got to come home the next day and was very playful. She didn't even look like the same dog. It took a while for our cats and her to get along. Fresno doesn't like Nakita very much, but Nala gets along with her. Nakita likes to chase them and Nala chases her back. It's very cute to watch them. I'm really happy that we have our kids. I wouldn't know what to do without them.

If you are thinking about getting a rottweiler you may want check out a few of my links. I definitely encourage doing alot of research before you decide to bring a dog into your home. Not every dog is the same and some breeds require special care. Rottweilers do need alot of care, exercise and most of all LOVE! Despite public opinion these dogs are very loving and affectionate when brought up correctly. They need to be socialized at a very young age and need to go through some form of obedience training.
